South Indian Tadka Salad

For the Salad
- 150 gms Quilla Piquant South cubed
- 100 gms Lettuce hand-torn
- 50 gms Arugula Leaves hand-torn
- 50 gms Spinach Leaves hand-torn
- 50 gms Romaine Lettuce hand-torn
- 10 gms Coconut sliced
For Tempering & Dressing
- 20 ml Coconut Oil
- 5 pieces Shallots cut in half
- 10 gms Curry Leaves
- 6-7 pieces Garlic Cloves mashed
- Ginger Juliennes to taste
- 10 ml Vinegar
- 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1 tsp Pepper Powder coarsely ground
- Salt to taste
Instructions
For Tempering & Dressing
- Heat the coconut oil in a shallow pan.
- Add the mustard seeds, curry leaves, garlic, ginger, and shallots. Fry until the garlic turns a beautiful golden brown.
- Remove the pan from the heat, then add vinegar, salt, and pepper, and mix well. Your salad dressing is ready.
For the Salad
- Add all the lettuce, spinach, romaine lettuce, and arugula leaves to a large bowl.
- Pour the warm salad dressing over the leaves and toss until the dressing spreads evenly over the leaves.
- Add the coconut slices and Piquant South cubes. Toss well. Your South Indian Tadka Salad is ready to serve!
